Appearance
Cavaliers are small, elegant dogs with soft feathered coats, expressive eyes, and a naturally graceful appearance.

- Height: 12–13 inches
Recognized Colors:
Blenheim
Blenheim, is the most common colour, ground pearly white background with well distributed chestnut-red patches. The chestnut on the head must extend around the eyes creating a mask effect as well as down over the ears separated by trail of white between the eyes and ears. These Cavaliers ideally should have a wide and clear blaze with a spot in the centre of their skull.
Tri-Colour
Predominately black and white with well-defined mask , broken up with tan markings over eyes, cheeks, inside ears, inside legs and on underside of tail.
Black & Tan
Rich glossy black overall with defined tan markings above the eyes, on cheeks, inside ears, on chest and legs and underside of tail. Tan should be bright. White marks are undesirable.
Ruby
Rich chestnut red over all the body. White markings undesirable.
Grooming Needs
Cavaliers have a silky, medium-length coat that requires regular brushing to prevent tangles and maintain its beauty.
Basic grooming includes:
- Brushing several times weekly
- Routine bathing
- Ear cleaning
- Nail trimming
- Occasional professional grooming
Their coats are naturally beautiful and should never be heavily shaved unless medically necessary.
